A former House of Assembly leader in Ebonyi State, Chief Emmanuel Ikechukwu Nwobo, has defected to the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Nwobo dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the platform on which he was elected a member of the state House of Assembly, and joined the Labour Party in 2022.

He has, however, now dumped the Labour Party for the ADC. Nwobo registered for the party in his ward at the weekend.

The state chairman of the ADC, Dr Adibe-Nwafor Jenifer, confirmed his defection to the party.

She said Nwobo has officially registered for the party in his ward.
