Ebira Progressive Association, Asaba Delta State has condemned the six months suspension of the lawmaker representing Kogi Central senatorial district district, Senator Natasha Akpoti Uduaghan from the Senate.
In a statement on Tuesday, the group stated that the Ebira Progressive Association, Asaba Delta State chapter are deeply disturbed and view the decision as highly detrimental to the well-being of the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District, adding that it could cause irreversible damage to ongoing efforts to improve their lives.
The statement reads: “We the above mentioned group have been following the episode of intimidation, harassment and suspension of our distinguished Senator NATASHA APOTI UDUAGHA who is representing the good people of Kogi central in the national assembly.
“The shoddy & unethical handling of her petition against the Senate president is a slap on democratic process and strangulation of the voiceless.
“We the above group urge the senate to rescind the suspension slam on our senator for the sake of women folks and our hard earned democracy.
“We are assuring our distinguish senator that we are solidly behind her in this trying time. We are assuring her, that she shall be victorious in this political manipulation.”
