The Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has called on Christians to translate their faith and prayers into meaningful action as they celebrate the Easter season.
In a goodwill message to mark the celebration, Governor Fintiri urged residents of the state to reflect on the suffering, sacrifice, and victorious resurrection of Jesus Christ, noting that the season serves as a reminder that hardship is temporary and will ultimately give way to victory.
The governor emphasized that Easter represents a period of sacrifice, love, and redemption, adding that Christ’s death was for healing, peace, and the salvation of humanity.
“As we enter into this Easter season, let us remember that it is a time for selflessness and sacrifice, just as Jesus gave Himself for the sake of our sins and peace,” he said.
Fintiri further called on citizens to promote unity and forgiveness, stressing the need to build a peaceful and prosperous Adamawa State where people coexist harmoniously.
