As Christians around the world celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Director General of the South-East Governors Forum and Distinguished Senator, Uche Ekwunife, CON, has extended warm Easter greetings to Ndi Anambra, the South-East region, and the entire Christian community.
In a goodwill message released on Easter Saturday, Ekwunife who represented Anambra Central Senatorial District described Easter as a season of profound spiritual reflection and renewed hope. She noted that the resurrection of Christ is a powerful symbol of triumph—life over death, light over darkness, and hope over despair.
Ekwunife urged the people of the South-East to embrace the true essence of Easter, which is rooted in love, sacrifice, and forgiveness. She encouraged NDIGBO to use the season as an opportunity to pray for divine guidance, protection, and the economic stability of the South-East states.
“Let us use this sacred period to seek God’s wisdom for our hardworking governors as they steer the affairs of our region with purposeful leadership and commitment to good governance,” she stated.
Expressing deep confidence in the region’s future, Senator Ekwunife affirmed that through unity, shared purpose, and trust in God, the South-East will overcome its challenges and continue on the path of growth and prosperity.
