CAF unveils new trophy ahead of WAFCON 2024

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Wednesday presented the new trophy for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

CAF introduced the new trophy during a lavish event in Rabat, Morocco.

The initiative is part of CAF’s efforts to reposition women’s football throughout the continent.

Representatives of the 12 countries that will participate in the upcoming WAFCON 2024 finals were present at the ceremony.

The tournament will kick off on Saturday, with hosts, the Atlas Lionesses of Morocco, taking on the Copper Queens of Zambia in the opening fixture.

Banyana Banyana of South Africa are the current holders of the competition.
