Easter: CP orders adequate security at Benue worship centres

As Christians in Benue and all over the world celebrate the 2025 Easter,  Commissioner of Police, Benue State command, Steve Yabanet has ordered the deployment of adequate security around public places especially worship centres.

The CP, in a statement  by Benue  State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO),CSP Catherine Anene, felicitated  with the Christian community on the Easter celebrations.

He called on Christians to pray for peace and stability in  the state as the command remained  committed to the fight against crime. He encouraged Christians to continue to embrace peace,unity and goodwill in their communities as christian religion teaches.

The CP ordered  Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers and Tactical Commanders to provide adequate security around churches and event centers and emphasized the need to intensify  patrols and surveillance to prevent breakdown of law and order.

He advised members of the public to cooperate with the police and other security agencies as they go about securing in their communities.

He also urged citizens of Benue  to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities to security agencies around them.
