The Super Eagles have secured a substantial financial boost after successfully qualifying for the quarterfinals of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Morocco.

By advancing to the last eight, the Super Eagles are guaranteed a prize of $1.3 million from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), which translates to nearly ₦2 billion at current exchange rates.

This highlights the significant rewards for the team’s remarkable performance in the tournament.

CAF has officially announced a revised prize structure for the competition. The champion of the 2025 AFCON will take home a hefty $7 million, while the runner-up will receive $4 million. Each losing semifinalist is set to earn $2.5 million, and every quarterfinalist is assured $1.3 million.

Additionally, the Super Eagles have capitalised on performance bonuses associated with the goals scored in their Round o 16 match against Mozambique. The team raked in $40,000 for each goal, significantly enhancing their earnings.
