A power-packed line-up of some of Africa’s finest thought leaders will take the stage at the maiden Building Beyond You Conference on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Harbour Point, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Leading the charge are Fela Durotoye, celebrated leadership coach and nation-builder; Ibukun Awosika, trailblazing entrepreneur and former Chair of First Bank; and Atedo Peterside, respected businessman and Chairman of ANAP Foundation. Together, these icons will share hard-hitting insights on how to build businesses, systems, and communities that endure far beyond the individuals who founded them.

The conference, an initiative of entrepreneur and nation-builder Tara Fela-Durotoye, is themed “Building Beyond You”, a call to Africa’s next generation of leaders to think beyond personal ambition and focus on creating legacies that last.

“This is not just another event, it’s a movement. Building beyond you means creating structures, businesses, and systems that thrive long after you are gone. It’s about raising leaders who can multiply influence, wealth, and impact for generations”, Tara said.

The day-long event will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions, fireside conversations, and breakout workshops. Unlike many conferences that end at inspiration, this gathering is designed to move participants toward practical frameworks they can apply to build sustainable enterprises, social movements, and impactful communities.

A rich mix of executives, young entrepreneurs, and community leaders is expected to attend, making the conference a melting pot for fresh ideas, bold collaborations, and long-term partnerships that can shape Africa’s future.

The maiden edition has already attracted strong backing, with sponsorship from Coca-Cola, MTN, i-Invest, and House of Tara, while Nairametrics serves as the official media partner.

Tickets are now available on official platforms, and opportunities remain open for sponsorship, partnerships, and volunteering.
