From Desmond Mgboh, Kano
The Chairman of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano State, Hashimu Dungurawa, has dismissed his purported sack from the party, insisting that the exercise by the executive at his ward did not follow due process as outlined by the party’s constitution.
Dungurawa spoke to journalists at the residence of the party’s national leader, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, on Tuesday.
He declared that he remains a bona fide member of the party and the duly recognised chairman of the NNPP in the state.
According to him, “No Ward Executive has the authority to expel a state chairman without due process and ratification by the appropriate organs of the party.”
He reaffirmed his loyalty to the NNPP and its leadership, insisting that he remains committed to the ideals of the Kwankwasiyya Movement and the collective vision of the party.

He further stated that the meetings and engagements are ongoing and designed to bring unity and stability within the party in the state and across Nigeria.
He disclosed that significant progress has so far been achieved in the consultations being led by Kwankwaso, adding that party members and the general public would be fully briefed once the process is concluded.
Dungurawa, however, advised party supporters to remain calm and patient as efforts to resolve internal issues continue.
