Benue State Government has declared a free ZEVA Premium Lager Beer for residents as part of the ongoing Benue carnival festivities.

The Managing Director, and Chief Executive Officer of Benue Investment and Property Company Limited (BIPC), Dr Raymond Asemakaha disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Makurdi on Tuesday.

Asemakaha informed that the Governor’s gesture was to help the Benue public enjoy the ongoing Benue carnival festivities.

He stated that the distribution of Free Zeva Draft Beer to the general public will take place on the December 31, 2024.

He said “We invite all citizens to join us on this festive occasion and celebrate the spirit of our heritage and togetherness.

Recall that Governor Hyacinth Alia purchased 100 cartons of ZEVA beer for residents on the day it was launched.

The MD who advised the people to drink responsibly said “This is a unique opportunity to enjoy the flavours of Benue while engaging with family and friends.”

Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Creativity in the state, Rt. Hon. Terkimbi Ikyange, has organized a special event titled “Count Down to 2025 and Street Carnival to herald the New Year, 2025.

The event which starts with a carnival begining from Savannah Roundabout, Makurdi, will feature Special Prayers for the Governor, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, members of the Executive Council, the Legislature, the Judiciary, and the entire people of the State for His protection and mercy in the last outgoing year and for a Prosperous 2025.

He said after the brief praise and worship, there will be countdown to 2025, to be followed by fireworks and a street carnival to celebrate the New Year.
