Sylvia Kelechi PhD has been inducted into Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biography volumes, individual profile are sorted on the rating of their recent profiling and achievements. factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Dr. Kelechi has excelled as a Global Leadership Coach of the Society of Women Engineers in the USA, a past president of the Society and currently a civil engineer researcher recognized globally due to her global environment sustainability impacting research. She also established her successful career as a way to raise awareness and promote STEM for girls. Equally Dr. Sylvia has also championed several STEM advocacy projects geared to encourage young girls to study STEM courses and Engineering if they wish to.
Society of Women Engineers notably offer and provide supporting platform for female Engineers to fulfil there full career potential and achieve there dreams with the potential to flourish in a male dominated career such as Engineering. Her Girl’s Scout STEM outreach benefited over 250 American girls in the mid west region from elementary and middle school.
Apart from championing STEM, Dr. Kelechi is also a member of several prestigious societies that only confirms outstanding individuals excelling in there field of endeavor, the likes of American Society of Civil Engineers, Structural Engineering Institution, Nigeria Society of Engineers, Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria, Author licensing and collecting society, Institution of Professional Managers etc. where she have served in several capacities.
A seasoned Engineer, Dr. Kelechi found success as the pioneer founder of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Kano chapter in year 2021. Chapter secretary and technical secretary of the Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria (APWEN) consecutively from 2016 to 2019, where she moved up to served at the national level as Treasure of the association from 2019 to 2021. Prior to establishing herself as a leader, Dr. Kelechi has been a licensed Engineer for close to a decade.
A talented leader, Dr. Kelechi has been featured in multiple interview and question and answer session event where she shared her leadership experience and encourage female in STEM and Engineering hacks to career excellence in a male dominated career as Engineering. Dr. Kelechi has been presented with an excellent services award from Nigerian Society of Engineers and Association of Professional Women Engineers of Nigeria.
