Born the youngest of six children in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Nigeria, Dr Osonuga’s journey has been inspiring. His pursuit of knowledge, passion for helping others, and entrepreneurial spirit led him to study Medicine and Surgery at Olabisi Onabanjo University. In 2013, Dr Osonuga was named a One Young World Ambassador, an honour bestowed upon young leaders who demonstrate exceptional leadership qualities and a commitment to driving positive change. The following year, Dr Osonuga’s extraordinary efforts in containing the Ebola virus in Sierra Leone earned him the prestigious Sierra Leone Government’s Presidential Meritorious Service Award. His selfless work and relentless determination in the face of a deadly epidemic were invaluable in saving lives and bringing hope to those affected.
Dr Osonuga’s exceptional abilities and innovative mindset were further recognised when he was named Wired UK’s Innovation Fellow in June 2015. In 2016, he founded Adloyalty Business Networks, a real estate network marketing firm. The company experienced remarkable growth, reaching an impressive milestone of 20,000 realtors in February 2020. It quickly became Nigeria’s first and most prominent independent real estate network marketing firm, as recognised by The Guardian.
However, Dr Osonuga’s entrepreneurial journey didn’t stop there. He established Pilla, a leading proptech bank for the African and global markets of real estate investors, builders, and renters, in line with his vision. Pilla aims to close the gap between traditional banking for real estate users while providing seamless financial services and products that enhance homeownership, commercial and residential development, and infrastructural growth. Pilla is the bank that renters, landlords, property investors, property developers, property managers, real estate agents, and government agencies can trust anytime, any day, and anywhere.
In addition to his endeavours, Dr Osonuga is also involved in aeronautics, logistics, and defence space. Together with his friend and brother, Ajayi Oluwatobi, they are building and flying unmanned planes equipped with the innovative Flynaerospace.
