Dr. Abimbola Olayinka Asagba, a former Director of Public Health, Federal Ministry of Heath, is dead. She was aged 84 years.
Dr. Asagba (Nee Ogunleye), established the New system of Disease Surveillance, Notification of Diseases and Control of Epidemics in Nigeria.
A Public Health Physician , She was an advocate of the review of the obsolete Nigerian Public Health laws
Her eldest son, Tokunbo Asagba, confirmed her death.
