Dotun Sanusi, Chairman and Chief Executive of Ilaji Hotel and Sports Resort, has praised Senator Monsurat Sunmonu on her 65th birthday.
Sanusi, an Ibadan Senior Chief, described the Senator as a trailblazing woman with many achievements in politics.
In a statement personally signed by Sanusi, who is also the Jagun Olubadan and Otun Apesinola of Ibadanland, he highlighted the Senator’s significant contributions to the growth and development of Oyo State.
Sanusi also commended her exceptional performance as the first female Speaker in the State during Senator Abiola Ajimobi’s tenure and her continuous support for Engr Seyi Makinde’s administration.
Sanusi noted that Senator Sunmonu has various “firsts” to her name, including being the first female Senator from Oyo Central Senatorial district and the founder of the MOSWEF foundation, an NGO focused on improving the lives of women and youth.
Additionally, he acknowledged her instrumental role in the passing of the ‘Accident & Gunshot Victims Act 2018,’ which ensures hospitals treat gunshot patients without the need for police reports or payment. Sanusi concluded his message by expressing his congratulations and wishing Senator Sunmonu continued strength in her service to Allah and humanity.
