Don’t shun your civil responsibility, Sanwo-Olu’s wife tells Lagosians

Lagos State First Lady, Dr. Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu has urged eligible voters yet to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) to do so within the available time.

The governor’s wife, appealed to Nigerian voters not to shun their civil responsibility but to participate actively in the forthcoming general elections. Mrs Sanwo-Olu made the plea at the 2022 Lagos Christmas Carol, organised by Lagos first family in collaboration with the State Ministry of Home Affairs.

The event with theme: ‘A stone of grace’ was well attended by Christian leaders, political leaders and traditional rulers, among others.

The chief host of the event, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu who read Bible to buttress the important of Christmas, urged Lagosians to love each others and live in harmony.

The first Lady, Dr. Sanwo-Olu also read Bible verses from Matthew 2: 2-12 earlier, enjoined the attendees to ensure they devote their time for love as it was exemplified by Jesus.

She said: “This is the day the Lord has made, let the righteous rejoice. Christmas is a special season. Jesus came to liberate the world from the shackles of sins.”
