…As Monarch tells Buhari to extend PAP boss’ tenure

The Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP), Major General Barry Ndiomu (rtd), has advised ex-Niger Delta agitators, to look for other viable opportunities beyond the N65,000 monthly stipends.
Ndiomu gave the exhortation when the Chairman of the Delta State Ijaw Traditional Rulers Forum, HRM, King Joseph Timiyan, hosted him recently at his palace.
The former military officer, announced that a cooperative fund had been set aside from where youths of the region can draw from for other meaningful ventures.
According to him, his Office recently commenced work with NEXIM Bank on the Cooperative Fund and that a N1 billion Education Trust Fund would be launched before the end of April.
Meanwhile, King Joseph Timiyan, appealed to President Muhammadu Buhari to extend the tenure of Ndiomu, which, according to him, would be one of his greatest legacies for people of the Niger Delta.
Timiyan said the appeal became necessary sequel to the life-changing initiative the interim administrator had put in place.
The Ebenanaowei of Ogulagha Kingdom added: “I think you are the Messiah. I know you cannot do all we want, but we know you will make a difference.
“Your starting point has already proved that you are an Administrator, a Leader. Not just a leader that was made, but one that was born. We give you our vote of confidence.”
