Popular content creator, Taaoma has urged Nigerians to show patriotism and desist from bashing their nation at every given opportunity.
Taooma said this in an X post on Monday morning amid the Super Eagles’ ordeal in Libya.
Daily Sun reported that the men’s senior national team was allegedly maltreated by their hosts after travelling to the North African nation for Tuesday’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers in Benghazi.

Several Super Eagles’ players, including captain William Troost-Ekong and striker Victor Boniface, narrated how they were abandoned at the airport for up to 12 hours by their hosts.
In a statement, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) said it has pulled the Super Eagles out of Tuesday’s qualifiers due to the team’s maltreatment.
However, many Nigerians took to social media to claim the NFF shabbily treated the Libyans during the first leg played in Nigeria barely a week ago, a claim the football association denied.
In apparent reaction to the claim, Taaoma said, “Be patriotic. Don’t bash your country at every opportunity you get.”
