District gov. applauds Rotary Club of Onigbongbo over proper conduct

District Governor of Rotary International District 9110, Ifeyinwa Rita Ejezie has applauded Rotary Club of Onigbongbo over proper conduct and future plans capable of promoting the image of the body.

Ejezie who is currently covering the whole of Lagos and Ogun state, expressed this during her visit to the club in Ikeja on Thursday, 5th of October 2023.

Speaking to media, the guest alongside her entourage rated the club as one of the best they’ve visited in recent outings. She however applauded members for the humanitarian services they’ve displayed while urging them never to relent due to economy situation of the country.

‘Coming here today is mandatory because my duty is to visit over one-hundred and fifty rotary club under my supervisor which rotary club of Onigbogbo happens to be one of the best. I’m glad i’m here and I have observed a board meeting with top members. If what I observed is anything to go by, I will be rating the president high for performing duty which is inline with the rule of rotary. This development means the club is doing well and I’m also pleased with members.’

‘As for our vision, we come together with only one goal which is to serve humanity. Our mission is to see people smile and to see our district government do what they are suppose to do in the society. Having sated this, It’s no news we’ve provided different amenities. We also have donation for maternal and child care, we assist student by giving them scholarship to go study abroad, donation of  reading materials and renovation of public schools for an average Nigerian student. We also train people on different vocation and empower them to go into the society and start a trade which they have learnt.’

‘We need partners, government, individual and private bodies to come to our rescue so that we can do more for we don’t have it all. The more money we have, the more we touch life.

‘The challenge we are facing is raising of fund base on the economy situation of the country. People are suffering and its affecting the club. We are all facing difficulty and I think as human, we will be tempted to cater for ourselves before remembering the community. What we care to give out is the percentage of what we have. We are urging the government to look into the economy situation of things and I believe the country will regain her lost glory,’ she opined.

Responding to accolades, president, Rotary Club of Onigbongbo, rotarian Razaq B. Salau stated he won’t relent in making sure the club image soar to enviable height. Having been tagged ‘Hope President’, he derived pleasure inducting new members while presenting gift items to his guest and other top dignitaries.

‘ Applauds received today is just a tip of iceberg. I won’t relent in making sure the club maintain top rank. I’ve done my best showing exit to members with lack of accountability and I believe in others with reputable image capable keeping our track record in positive way,’ he stated.
