The Gidan Galadima Royal Family in Lafia has denied reports alleging that it is being excluded from the proposed creation of additional districts in the Lafia Emirate Council of Nasarawa State.
Musa Labaran Bage, the Galadiman Lafia, dissociated himself and the family from the recent report credited to one Mohammed Galadima-Gana on the alleged plan to exclude Gidan Galadima Lafia from the proposed creation of new district heads by Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State.
This is contained in a statement signed by Bage, leader of the Gidan Galadima Royal Family, and made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Lafia.
He explained that the author of the earlier publication on the planned exclusion of the Gidan Galadima from the creation of new districts did not consult him, neither did he consult members of the family before going to press.
Bage further explained that, as a leader of the Gidan Galadima, the family is loyal to the Emir of Lafia, Justice Sidi Muhammad Bage I, and the entire Emirate Council.

He added that he had expressed whatever interest the Gidan Galadima had in the planned district creation to the relevant stakeholders of the emirate.
“This matter is before the Emir and it is wrong for somebody who is not the leader of the family, not even known in the family, to go to the press and discuss it when it is being handled already,” Bage said.
It could be recalled that recently, Mohammed Galadima-Gana claimed that there was an apparent move to exclude the family from the proposed creation of additional district heads in the Lafia Emirate Council and appealed to Governor Sule for their inclusion for the purpose of justice, fairness, peace and equitable treatment of the family.
