Education received a major boost in Anambra East Local Government Area as the De Imperial Philanthropic Family commissioned a newly constructed ultra-modern classroom block at Community Secondary School, Nando.
The facility, which was donated by the philanthropic organisation, was officially commissioned on Friday, August 21, 2026, in the presence of government officials, traditional rulers, community leaders, students, and other dignitaries.
National President of the De Imperial Philanthropic Family, High Chief Dr. Sir Darlington Nwabunike, said the project was part of the organisation’s broader vision of supporting education and creating opportunities for young people.
He noted that the Nando classroom block is among five classroom blocks the organisation has built and donated to schools in the South-East.
Senator Tony Nwoye, who represents the Anambra North Senatorial District, was among the dignitaries at the ceremony. He appreciated the De Imperial Philanthropic Family for its intervention and encouraged other organisations and individuals to support initiatives that improve the welfare of students.
The presence of the Chairman of Anambra East Local Government Area, the Federal House of Representatives member representing the Anambra East and West Federal Constituency, traditional rulers, school management, and students added colour to the event.
The new facility is expected to enhance the learning environment at Community Secondary School, Nando, and provide students with improved classroom conditions.
