The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), DIG Sadiq Idris Abubakar, has read the riot act to the personnel of the FCID Annex office in Ikoyi, Lagos, against unprofessional conducts.

The DiG ,who was on a visit to FCID, Ikoyi office ,gave key administrative directives and cautioned against all forms of misconducts, including bribery, extortion, and unprofessional investigative practices.

He stressed that FCID personnel must uphold the highest policing standards to build public trust and preserve the integrity of the Nigeria Police Force.

In a statement by Police Public Relations Officer(PPRO)FCID Annex, Alagbon, Lagos,ASP Mayegun Aminat,” the DiG further assured officers that welfare concerns, particularly in the area of accommodation, were  receiving urgent and sustained attention from the Force leadership.

“ The visit concluded with an inspection of the Police Special Fraud Unit (PSFU), where DIG Abubakar met with team leaders and reinforced his expectations of discipline, efficiency, and excellence in service delivery.

“ The DiG Abubakar, who was  welcome by AIG Margaret Ochalla and her management team,   commended the officers for their discipline and dedication to duty. He emphasized the critical importance of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct, urging all personnel to maintain proper appearance, uphold punctuality, and demonstrate unwavering respect for human rights in all engagements. “

“ In her closing remarks, AIG Margaret Ochalla expressed deep appreciation to the DIG on behalf of personnel of the FCID Annex, Lagos. She praised his visionary leadership and reaffirmed their collective commitment to uphold the principles and directives he articulated.”
