Ángel Di María , former Real Madrid player who currently plays for Rosario Central, has given an interview in which he confesses some of his most personal and intimate secrets.
The former Benfica, Manchester United, Juventus, Real Madrid, and PSG player told Telefé ‘s ‘Juego Chino’ that “thanks to the psychologist, who gave me tips that outsiders are just like that… Today I see them cursing me out and talking too much, I don’t care, I know it’s the show that has to sell. I realized that I didn’t care, the important thing was what I did, it was just a matter of getting lucky.”
Di María reaffirmed his decision not to play for Argentina again , despite the World Cup being on the verge of qualifying: “Sometimes I feel like going back. But it’s a 100% no.”
The 37-year-old footballer revealed that in his early days he “wanted to be a goalkeeper” and that he almost quit football. His father threatened him that if he wasn’t promoted to the first team at Rosario Central, he would have to hang up his boots.
