A chieftain of the Labour Party in Anambra State, Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, has criticized the governor of the state, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, over the poor state of infrastructure, especially the deplorable state of the road network in many parts of the state.
Ozigbo made this known yesterday while speaking during the 2024 edition of the annual August meeting of Ogbako Umunwanyi Igbo Worldwide held at Anedo Hall, Nnewi, Anambra State.
Ozigbo, a frontline hopeful in next year’s governorship election in the state, admonished Soludo to pay more attention to infrastructural development and take positive action towards fixing the deplorable road network in the state.
He promised that as the next governor of Anambra State, he would fix Anambra and deliver better dividends of democracy to the people of the state.
Ozigbo, who was also honored with the Ogbako Umunwanyi Igbo Worldwide Grand Patron award, further assured that very soon, when the campaign embargo is lifted, he would unveil his full manifesto, which he described as people-oriented.
The former Peoples Democratic Party, PDP gubernatorial candidate in 2021 commended Eziada Ifeoma Nwadike, the founder and Global President of the foremost Igbo women’s organization with branches in all Igbo States, Lagos, and Abuja, USA, for inaugurating the Anambra chapter of the organization.
Also speaking, Chief Chekwas Okorie, founder and pioneer national chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), extolled the virtues of the women for all their efforts to champion a noble cause and promised to identify with them.
On the award recognition by the Ogbako Umunwanyi Igbo Worldwide, Okorie commended the organization for their efforts in the restoration of Igbo cultural heritage, ideals, and values and the advancement of Igbo cause and interests.
