The Director General of the South-East Governors’ Forum, Senator Uche Ekwunife, has commended the governors of the South-East geopolitical zone for their efforts in addressing security and economic challenges in the region.
Ms Ekwunife praised the governors, led by Imo State Governor, Chief Hope Uzodimma, for implementing policies aimed at promoting regional integration, inclusivity, and peaceful coexistence among citizens.
The Director General expressed her delight at the renewed efforts of the South-East Governors under Mr Uzodimma’s leadership, acknowledging their commitment to addressing the prevailing security and economic challenges in the zone.
Ms Ekwunife’s statement highlighted the governors’ dedication to fostering a sense of unity and cooperation among the people of the South-East region.
She noted that the governors’ efforts have contributed significantly to promoting peace and stability in the region, creating an enabling environment for economic growth and development.
The South-East Governors’ Forum has been instrumental in promoting regional integration and cooperation among the five states in the zone: Imo, Anambra, Abia, Enugu, and Ebonyi.
“Under Uzodimma’s leadership, the forum has implemented various initiatives aimed at enhancing economic development, improving security, and promoting social welfare in the region.”
She emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing the challenges facing the country, calling on citizens to work together to build a more united and prosperous Nigeria.
