A Civil Society Organization (CSO), Initiative for Leadership Development and Change (ILDC) has described Gov Alex Oti of Abia as a beacon of democracy.
Chief Ugochukwu Nnam, President of the CSO said in a statement released in Abuja, on Wednesday, on the occasion of Democracy day anniversary, that the Abia governor has distinguished himself through a people oriented leadership.
The ILDC boss who reiterated the commitment of his CSO to governance lauded Gov Alex Oti for his unequaled achievement in Abia since the creation of the state.
Nnam said that Oti had made unprecedented giant strides which none of his predecessors could achieve since 33 years of the state’s existence.
According to him, Oti stands from the crowd of other governors with his records in infrastructure, health and security.
“With the successful launch of Operation Crush in July, insecurity which hitherto assumed an alarming dimension especially around Uturu/ Isuikwuato/ Umunneochi axis, has significantly subsided.
“He has renovated many dilapidated hospitals with employment and deployment of personnel as well as massive road constructions,” he said.
Nnam called on Abia people to support the governor for greater achievements.
