Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested a 19-year-old boy alongside four others for being in possession of a locally-made single barrel cut-to-size gun at different police operations.
The suspects were arrested by operatives of Safe Delta, while on stop-and-search duty at Bridge Head, Asaba, on Wednesday September 10, 2025, at about 10:30 A.M.
They were intercepted onboard a motorcycle, and upon a search, a locally-made single barrel cut-to-size gun, cartridges and a dagger concealed in a bag were recovered.
State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, who confirmed this in a statement, gave the names of the suspects who were taken into custody for further investigation as Solomon Offor, 22, Ifesinachi Nwankeze, 19, and Ambrose Ugwuba, 23.

In the same vein, operatives of Safe Delta, while on surveillance patrol along DBS road, also arrested one Raphael Chukwuemeka, 23, with one cut-to-size double barrel pistol and seven live cartridges, on Tuesday, September 9.
The police, on patrol had sighted a group of boys engaging in affray, one with a cutlass and swiftly went to the scene. In the process, the suspect was taken into custody for further investigation.
Similarly, acting on credible intelligence related to cult activities within Ibusa town, operatives of CP-Special Assignment Team (CP-SAT), on Wednesday September 10, also arrested one Oluwatobi Olugbemi, 29 years, a native of Ikenne – Remo community in Ijebu-Ode LGA of Ogun State but resident at Ogboli quarters of Ibusa town.
He was trailed and a search warrant was executed at his residence, during which a Beretta pistol loaded with one round of ammunition was recovered.
The suspects, according to SP Edafe, confessed to being a member of the Supreme Vikings Confraternity aka “Arrow Barger.” He said that investigation in the case was ongoing.
