The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has deployed two thousand and nine (2,009) corps members for the 2025 Batch C, stream 1 orientation course in Issele-Uku, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, congratulated the Corps members deployed to Delta State, urging them to take the orientation course very seriously and assured them of their safety throughout the service year.

Oborevwori, represented by Commissioner for Youth Development, Hon. Trakiriowei Harry ThankGod, said the NYSC orientation course remains a crucial component of the service year, providing Corps Members with a platform for physical, emotional, and psychological reorientation that will prepare them for life beyond.

Oborevwori charged Corps Members to participate actively in all camp activities, make interactions freely with one another, noting that the camp is a reflection that fosters cooperation and understanding, the orientation of national integration and development.

He said, “You will be exposed to important issues relating to security, the national economy, leadership and self-diversity of our great nation, Nigeria.”

He encouraged the officials of the NYSC scheme to remain steadfast in the pursuit of its set goals and objectives, and charged corps members to be compatriots as they began the one-year national service today.

“I urge you to uphold the highest standards of discipline, loyalty, dedication and patriotism and make a deliberate effort to shun unhelpful behaviours that have become common among youths. Embrace hard work, responsibility and integrity, our nation needs men and women who will drive development through honesty, innovation and strength of character,” Oborevwori stated.

The State Coordinator of NYSC Delta State, John Vandi Kwaghe, charged the Corps Members to use the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.

He commended Governor Oborevwori for the prompt intervention on the perimeter fence and the completion of the internal road at the orientation camp.

Kwaghe also appreciated stakeholders in the state for their numerous contributions towards the Corps Members serving in Delta State.
