The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (retd.), commended Akwa Ibom State governor, Pastor Umo Eno, for purposeful leadership, noting its positive impact on the people.
He spoke during a courtesy visit to the governor at Government House, Uyo.
According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Mr Ekerete Udoh, the minister expressed admiration for the state’s road network, describing such achievements as practical and attainable.
“My prayer is that others will see what has been done and realise these things are possible. It is not rocket science,” he said. Musa, who was in the state to deliver the convocation lecture at Akwa Ibom State University, thanked the governor for the opportunity and hospitality. On security, he said President Bola Tinubu has made commendable efforts. He added that both kinetic and non-kinetic strategies, force and good governance, are vital.

He urged citizens to collaborate with security agencies by reporting suspicious activities.
The minister also commended the governor for supporting the 2 Brigade of the Nigerian Army and other security formations.
In his remarks, Governor Eno thanked Musa for accepting to deliver the lecture and congratulated him on his appointment.
He condoled with him over the loss of military personnel and called for increased support for security agencies.
