Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf is meeting President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa today, as talks of him switching parties heat up.
Yusuf won the 2023 election on the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) ticket. Sources say he wants to join the All Progressives Congress (APC), the ruling party, ahead of the 2027 polls.

Recall recent reports claim APC rejected Yusuf’s demand for an automatic ticket in Kano.
NNPP leader Rabiu Kwankwaso dismissed the rumours. He said he never approved any defection.
