The President-General of the Association of Ndi Eze Ndi Igbo in the diaspora, Eze Gregory Iloerika has described the deaths of the President General of Ohaneze Ndigbo, Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu and Senator Ifeanyi Uba as a great loss to the Igbo nation.

Eze Iloerika noted that the demise of the two prominent Igbo men, in very quick succession, has brought sorrow, pain and anguish to Ndi Igbo worldwide.

In a statement released in Akure, the Ondo State capital, Iloerika described Iwuanyanwu as a benevolent father and leader who was able to reconcile many aggrieved leaders of Ndi Igbo, both at home and in the diaspora within one year in office.

He asserted that Iwuanyanwu led the apex Igbo sociocultural organization in an environment of peace and cohesion, declaring that posterity will not forget his illustrious service to Ndi igbo.

He said that Iwuanyanwu was pragmatic in his navigation and projection of the interests of Ndi Igbo in the complex Nigerian State.

Also, he said the death of Uba was great loss to Ndi Igbo and all Nigerians, saying that the deceased was an enterprising, ebullient and charismatic leader .

He lamented that both leaders left when Igbos needed them most, regretting that it would be difficult to replace them.
