Christians from different religious denominations recently gathered together to boost the morale of the presidential candidate of All Progressive Congress , Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu by praying for his victory in forthcoming general election.
The prayers were said during the Carol held at the Christ the Light Chapel, Alausa, Ikeja Lagos.
The programme with the theme: “A Gift that Impacts Through Culture of Generosity and Great Vision” was organised by the state chapter of the ”Project Beyond Lagos” where Asiwaju Tinubu was duly presented to God with prayers and songs of praises.
Aside asking God to give APC presidential candidate the strength and sound mind to succeed in his electioneering campaign, the worshippers expressed his virtues, pointing out that he is the best for the job.
Chief Host of the event and Lagos State Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. Anofiu Olarewaju-Elegushi, called on people to continue to pray for the success of the APC candidates at all levels.
He said APC has sellable candidates who are positioned to move the country forward, it given the opportunity to do so. “We as party have sellable candidates who can better the lot of Nigerians.”
Elegushi called on Nigerians to make seriously efforts at ensuring that all APC’s candidates come victorious at forthcoming elections.
The Presiding Chaplain of the church, Ven. Ezekiel Oluwadare, in his remarks noted that Christains are behind Ahmed Tinubu and will continue to pray for his election and that of all other APC candidates.
According to him, Tinubu deserves to be president due to the contributions he has made in churches across the country. “It will be bad for Christains to abandon Tinubu this time, after all he did for the church.”
Among the highlights of the event include renditions by gospel artistes, Bible reading and intercessory prayers.
