Nigerian singer Davido has taken to social media to disclose how his wife Chioma reacted after his second loss at the Grammy Awards, which took place recently.
‘With You’, Davido’s collaborative song with Omah Lay, earned a nomination for Best African Music Performance but lost to South African star Tyla for her track ‘Push 2 Start’.
Other Nigerian artists nominated in the same category include Burna Boy (‘Love’) and Ayra Starr’s joint effort with Wizkid, ‘Gimme Dat’.

Speaking via his Instagram handle, Davido revealed that after the loss, he told his wife Chioma that there was no need to attend the Grammy after-party.
Chioma responded by admonishing her spouse to be humble and gracious in defeat.
“I said baby listen, we lost again, let’s not go! She said, ‘Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat. We’re outside,” Davido penned.
