Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has responded to Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo after the governor mocked Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke during an All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign rally.
Davido reacted on Friday by sharing what appeared to be Okpebholo’s WAEC result on his Instagram Stories, a move widely interpreted as a jab at the governor. The singer did not include any caption with the post.
The exchange followed remarks made by Okpebholo while campaigning for the APC governorship candidate in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO.
Addressing party supporters at the rally, the Edo governor criticised Adeleke’s leadership style and mocked his well-known passion for dancing.

“Before somebody signs paper, he will dance. Are you not tired? For four years, this man has been dancing. Before he takes breakfast, before he drinks tea, he will dance,” Okpebholo said.
He also urged Osun voters to collect money from political opponents but cast their ballots for the APC candidate in the August 15 governorship election.
Davido, who is Governor Adeleke’s nephew, has been actively involved in his uncle’s re-election campaign, attending rallies and recently calling for a peaceful, free and fair governorship election in the state.
