Dasuki donates relief to Sokoto banditry victims

The member representing Kebbe/Tambuwal Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Abdussamad Dasuki, has donated relief materials to victims of recent bandits’ attacks in Kuchi and Jabo districts of Kebbe and Tambuwal LGAs.

Dasuki, represented by his Senior Legislative Aide, Attahiru Danmadi, visited Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camps in Kuchi, Kebbe Local Government Area, and Jabo in Tambuwal LGA, where he distributed foodstuffs and other essentials to affected households.

He assured the victims of his determination to protect their lives and restore normalcy in the area.

“We are here today to see things for ourselves, and I want to assure you that necessary actions are being taken to guarantee your safety and bring the perpetrators to justice”

“This is only an immediate intervention. Going forward, you will continue to receive the needed support to sustain your livelihood”

The lawmaker revealed that he is working with the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for additional assistance, while commending security agencies for their efforts and urging them to intensify operations to apprehend the attackers.

Among the relief materials distributed were bags of maize, millet, gari, and groundnut cake. He also sympathised with families who lost loved ones in the attacks.

Communities affected include Fakku, Sha’alwashi, Tulluwa, Bakin Dutsi, Sadu, Fedde, Garin Mai Dabo, Illela and Rafin-Gora in Kuchi District, as well as Gesolodi, Hilya, Guraye, Guma, Chakai, Modo, Badariya, Tafki, Balera, Gudumawa and Rafin Shinkafa in Jabo District.
