President of Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has stressed the importance of business connection in boosting entrepreneurship.
Dangote, who was reacting to his appointment as the grand patron of Global Entrepreneurship Festival, charged entrepreneurs to build connections for economic prosperity.
In a statement yesterday, Dangote said: “It is a great pleasure to receive this award, and I promise I will do my best. Thank you very much. Thank you.
“The main benefit of this is actually the connection. It is about connecting, merging and seeing what people can do together. You have people from North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa and different countries coming together.”
Dr Summy Francis on behalf of the board of the Global Entrepreneurship Festival, chaired by Dan Vatovic in Colorado, United States, alongside the Vice Chairlady, lauded Dangote for his entrepreneurship spirit across the world.
Also, a member of the board, Elizabeth Jackrich, said: “For me, as a mentee, I have seen tremendous growth since I joined the mentorship programme.
“That was why I reached out to extend such mentorship to millions of entrepreneurs out there, and I am so grateful for its acceptance.”
