Dangote Refinery cuts petrol price to N820

Dangote refinery

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, slashing N30 off the cost — from N850 to N820 per litre — effective August 12, 2025.

The company described the move as part of its “unwavering commitment to national development” and assured Nigerians of a consistent and uninterrupted supply of petroleum products.

In a parallel development, the refinery revealed plans to commence the phased deployment of 4,000 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered trucks from August 15, 2025. The trucks will be dedicated to fuel distribution across the country, underscoring Dangote’s pledge to operational excellence and sustainable energy solutions.

With these measures, the refinery is not only easing the cost of petrol for consumers but also pushing forward an energy transition drive that reduces environmental impact while ensuring efficient nationwide delivery.
