Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reaffirmed its capacity to meet and exceed Nigeria’s daily fuel needs, declaring it can supply 75 million litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), 25 million litres of diesel, and 20 million litres of aviation fuel every day.
The refinery said the volumes are far above Nigeria’s estimated daily consumption of 50 million litres of PMS, 14 million litres of diesel, and four million litres of jet fuel, providing a strong buffer for national fuel supply.
In a public notice on Friday, Dangote Refinery said the excess capacity would enhance market stability, reduce supply shocks, and cut the country’s reliance on fuel imports, especially during periods of high demand or logistics challenges.
