Dambe Warriors: Top fighters secure spots for season ending Super Fight

Lagos hosted the penultimate event of the Dambe Warriors with over 3,000 fans turning up for the Circuit Fight Five at Alaba Rago in Ojo area.

With places in the Super-fight, billed for Kano on the line, the gladiators showed great prowess and mastery to earn spots and stay on course for the biggest prize in Dambe history.

Explaining the significance of the Circuit Fight 5 in Lagos, Dambe Warriors co-founder, Chidi Anyina said the fighters understand what is at stake while commending the enthusiasm of fans who thronged the venue.

The organisers have elevated the traditional Nigerian combat sport to a world-class level, providing fighters with life changing opportunities as a professional athlete.

In his own remarks, Anthony Okeleke acknowledged that the level of organization has improved greatly while assuring that Dambe Warriors will attract international competitors.

18 top fighters are involved in the league, which featured three divisions: Lightweight, Middleweight and Heavyweight.

The top two fighters in all categories will clash in the season ending Super-fight billed for November 26 at the Kano Pillars Stadium in Kano State.
