Former Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), Dr Dakuku Peterside, Vice-Chancellor of Rivers State University, Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi, and Chief Executive Officer of Tico’s Kitchen, Mrs Tina Osuji, will headline the Annual Faith Conference and 13th Anniversary Leadership and Business Session of FirstLove Assembly, Rukpokwu, Port Harcourt, scheduled to hold from August 12 to 16, 2026, in Rivers State.
The Resident Pastor of FirstLove Assembly, Rukpokwu, Pastor Alfred James Abu, and Chairman of the Organising Committee, Dr Boma Waribor, MNIPR, disclosed this in a statement made available to Daily Sun, describing the conference as a significant milestone in the church’s journey and a platform designed to raise transformational leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals equipped for greater impact in society.
According to the organisers, the five-day event will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12, with daily evening sessions centred on the conference theme, “The Supernatural Life.” In addition, three morning sessions will focus exclusively on leadership, business, enterprise and career development, providing practical insights aimed at strengthening leadership capacity and promoting excellence across different sectors.
The organisers said Peterside, a renowned leadership coach, management turnaround expert and author of Leading in a Storm and Strategic Turnaround, will deliver the keynote address titled, “The Ten Greatest Leadership Lessons I Learnt From Public Service And Why Every Entrepreneur Should Know Them.” His presentation is expected to draw from his extensive experience in public service, corporate leadership and organisational transformation.
Also expected to deliver keynote addresses are Prof. Zeb-Obipi, widely respected for his contributions to leadership scholarship and higher education, and Mrs Osuji, whose entrepreneurial journey as Chief Executive Officer of Tico’s Kitchen has earned recognition within Nigeria’s business community. Both speakers are expected to share practical strategies on leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship and sustainable business growth.
The organisers further revealed that this year’s conference will introduce “The Exchanges,” a structured networking initiative created to encourage meaningful engagement among participants from diverse professions, industries and backgrounds. The initiative is expected to provide attendees with opportunities to establish strategic partnerships, expand professional networks, exchange ideas and explore collaborations that could extend beyond the conference.
Speaking on the significance of the event, the organisers said the anniversary conference represents more than a celebration of the church’s 13 years of ministry, describing it as a defining moment for spiritual renewal, leadership development and community transformation.
According to the statement, “The 13th Anniversary Faith Conference marks a prophetic season of new beginnings for our branch and is structured to equip participants for this new season and higher service.”
Other ministers expected to speak during the evening sessions and the anniversary thanksgiving service include the Overseer of FirstLove Assembly Worldwide, Rev. Simeon Afolabi; Rev. Chris Oarhe; Prophet Joseph Akanya; Pastor Wisdom Osiri; and the Resident Pastor, Pastor Alfred James Abu. They are expected to minister on the conference theme and inspire participants towards purposeful living, spiritual growth and transformational service.
The organisers expressed confidence that the conference would attract hundreds of participants from across Rivers State and beyond, bringing together church leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals, students and business executives for five days of worship, leadership engagement, networking and personal development.
