Vows to drive development projects, effective representation

Cross River North Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe has pledged continuous support for Governor Bassey Otu’s re-election ahead of the 2027 general election.

Senator Jarigbe, who paid an unscheduled visit to the site of the new Governor’s Lodge in Ogoja, hailed Governor Otu for the extensive infrastructural projects being executed across Cross River North and the state at large.

He said the governor’s unprecedented infrastructural drive has brought visible progress to Ogoja in particular and the state at large.

“The people of Ogoja are happy and grateful for the ongoing efforts, as the governor has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to development and a detribalised approach to governance.

“We will mobilise our constituents to show their appreciation through massive support as the governor seeks re-election in 2027. In this administration, we have witnessed the return of a vibrant business environment in the state.

“Before now, after the tenures of Donald Duke and Liyel Imoke, the presence of contractors had significantly declined. Today, however, we have a governor who has revived business activities, with contractors actively executing projects across the state,” Senator Jarigbe said.

The lawmaker, who has been embarking on consultative meetings with key stakeholders in his constituency, also pledged to attract more developmental projects to the area when re-elected in 2027.

Speaking in Obanliku during a consultative meeting with key stakeholders in the area, including the Obanliku Traditional Rulers Council and leaders of the APC ahead of the 2027 elections, Senator Jarigbe said the visit was aimed at strengthening ties with the people and reinforcing his commitment to effective representation.
