CRFFN, ICPC partner to fight crime

The Registrar/CEO Council for the Regulations of Freight Forwarders of Nigeria (CRFFN), Kingsley Igwe, and the Chairman, Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), Dr. Musa Aliyu, have pledged agencies’ collaboration to fight crimes and criminality in the freight industry.

Both leaders made the commitments when the Registrar of CRFFN paid a courtesy call to the ICPC headquarters in Abuja on Thursday.

The newly appointed Registrar of CRFFN, on assumption of office, pledged total reforms in the freight industry to add value to the Nigerian economy.

Further speaking, Igwe reaffirmed proactive engagement and stressed the importance of integrity and ethical standards in regulatory operations, while emphasising ICPC’s mission and objectives, reaffirming the Commission’s commitment to supporting CRFFN’s efforts through strategic collaboration.

On the MOU between the agencies, he remarked that this will serve as a framework for joint initiatives, capacity building, and coordinated enforcement actions to promote accountability and professionalism in the freight forwarding industry.

While presenting strategic points aimed at fostering collaboration between both agencies. He emphasised the importance of aligning CRFFN’s regulatory framework with ICPC’s anti-corruption mandate, highlighting the role of integrity, transparency, and institutional synergy in advancing the freight forwarding sector.
He also outlined several initiatives already undertaken by CRFFN to strengthen governance and operational efficiency.

In his remarks, Dr. Aliyu commended CRFFN’s proactive engagement and stressed the importance of integrity and ethical standards in regulatory operations. He elaborated on ICPC’s mission and objectives, reaffirming the Commission’s commitment to supporting CRFFN’s efforts through strategic collaboration.
