The Portuguese joined the Bianconeri from Real Madrid in the summer, with the club reporting record shirt sales.
The move also appears to have boosted CR7’s profile, as he now has 144,309,204 Instagram followers, making his the most followed account on the platform.
Pop singer Selena Gomez, the previous leader, has 144,308,767.

There is only one other sportsman in the top 10, with Neymar in 10th position with 104m followers.
Others in the top 10 include actor Dwayne Johnson, reality TV star Kim Kardashian and pop stars Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber.
Ronaldo is also in the top eight worldwide for Twitter followers with 75,690,231, behind U.S talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.
