An Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Monday ordered that a 40-year-old man, Usman Yinusa, who allegedly defiled his neighbour’s 13-year-old daughter be remanded in Ikoyi custodial centre.
The police charged Yinusa with defilement.
Chief Magistrate O.G. Oghre adjourned the case until Nov. 18 for mention.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Insp. Kehinde Olatunde told the court that the defendant committed the offence on Oct. 2, at No. 23, Anuoluwapo St., Isheri.
He alleged that Yinusa defiled his neighbour’s 13-year-old daughter.
The offence, he noted, contravened the provisions of Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State. (NAN)
