A Magistrate’s Court in Lagos has granted bail to Nigerian TikToker Peller in a case involving the alleged obstruction of police officers.

The court admitted him to bail in the sum of N500,000 on Tuesday after he spent four days in police detention.

The streamer was arrested and detained on Friday following a confrontation with police officers in the Lekki area of Lagos State.

He was later transferred to the Ikeja Police Station and arraigned on Tuesday alongside one Bello Oladipo on three counts of resisting police officers and breaching the public peace.

The charges include obstruction of police officers in the discharge of their duties, conduct likely to cause a breach of the public peace, and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Peller was seen in a viral video on Friday before his arrest, accusing some police officers of harassing him for driving a tinted vehicle without a plate number.

While insisting that he had just purchased the vehicle, Peller alleged that the officers pulled his shirt, pointed a gun at his head, and insisted that he be taken into custody.
