The Council of Retired Federal Permanent Secretaries (CORFEPS) mourned one of its eminent founding Members, as well member of the Board of Trustees, Chukwuemeka Ezeife, who passed on 15th December, 2023.
In a statement issued by Acting Secretary General
CORFEPS, Bulus Lolo, the permanent secretaries noted that as a Federal Public Servant, Ezeife was a thoroughbred public servant whose patriotism, energy and dedication and professionalism combined with courageous advocacy, left an enduring legacy in our nation building process.
They also noted that Ezeife was not only a retired Federal Permanent Secretary, but after his unblemished Civil Service career, he ventured into politics in the Third Republic and became the first elected Governor of Anambra State. During his tenure as Governor, he also served as Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum.
