The President of Gods Kingdom Society (GKS) (Church of the Living God), Brother Felix Ekundayo Adedokun, has decried the growing increase in cases of insecurity, especially kidnappings and violent crimes across the country, attributing the cause to corruption and successive leadership failures among the political class.

Speaking at a press conference held at Salem City in Warri yesterday to announce the programme of activities scheduled for this year’s Feast of Tabernacles which commences from Sunday, 14 December to 21 December 2025, Brother Adedokun noted that the solution to the spate of insecurity threatening the existence of the nation today can only be realised when leaders begin to have the fear of God in them.

He disclosed that the political class cannot pretend to be ignorant of both the immediate and remote causes of the insecurity situation we have found ourselves in today and urged the leaders to purge themselves of their sins and seek true reconciliation with God so that the nation can return to the path of glory God had designed for the land and her people.

While acknowledging the claim of Christian genocide by President Donald Trump of the United States (US) to be true, the GKS president noted that addressing the issue of insecurity in the country requires a holistic and all-embracing solution to the menace as Muslims too were equally being targeted in the series of attacks experienced mostly in the northern parts of the country.

Said he: Nigerians are facing an existential crisis by way of kidnapping, killings, demand for ransom, rape, and so on. Undeniably, these are the acts of Satan the devil who is going to and fro in the earth seeking whom he may devour.

“It is unfortunate that the scourge of kidnapping people for ransom has assumed a more sinister dimension in Nigeria, with the resort to the abduction of people from their homes, students and teachers from their schools and even travellers from their vehicles.

We warn those involved in these dastardly crimes and sins against God to desist from them or else they would suffer the dire consequences of their actions sooner or later,” he stated.

The eight-day celebration includes public lectures, quarter-to-quarter announcements, street processions, solemn assemblies, songs and dances.

The highlight of the Feast will be the Last and Great Day Holy Convocation when the address of the GKS president entitled: Passing the Time of Our Sojourning Here in Fear will be delivered by himself.
