‘Ugwuanyi not against Obi’
In our story, “Why South East govs, leaders moved against Obi as Atiku’s vice,” published in our sister publication, Sunday Sun, we erroneously stated that Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, is vehemently opposed to the choice of former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, as running mate to PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, that he vowed to work for President Muhammadu Buhari in the presidential election next year.
We have discovered that our reporter did not get his facts right. The Enugu State governor never issued the threat abscribed to him.
We, therefore, apologise to Gov Ugwuanyi for the embarrassment the wrong representation may have caused him.
