The NBM of Africa, Ibadan Zone, has said that the ascension and coronation of Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland marks the dawn of a new era under a monarch whose life and service have been defined by dignity, wisdom, and dedication to the progress of Ibadanland.
This is contained in a statement signed by President, NBM Ibadan Zone, Seun Falade, to commemorate the coronation of the new Olubadan, which took place at Mapo Hall, Ibadan on Friday.
The statement reads, “The NBM of Africa, Ibadan Zone, extends its heartfelt congratulations to His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, on your well-deserved ascension and coronation as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland.
“This historic moment marks not only a continuation of the rich traditions and cultural legacy of our great city but also the dawn of a new era under a monarch whose life and service have been defined by dignity, wisdom, and dedication to the progress of Ibadanland.
“Ibadan stands tall today, proud of its enduring heritage and the noble institution of the Olubadan throne. As a globally respected socio-cultural movement committed to the principles of leadership, unity, justice, and community development, the NBM of Africa, Ibadan Zone, celebrates this coronation as a reaffirmation of the strength, values, and resilience of our people.

NBM Africa encouraged the monarch to place special focus on youth empowerment, education, and community development, as these were vital pillars for securing a prosperous future for Ibadanland.
“By prioritizing peace, unity, and equitable development across all quarters of the city, Ibadan will not only sustain its cultural pride but also become a greater hub of growth and opportunity for generations to come.
“We pray that the Almighty grants you wisdom, long life, and divine strength to rule over Ibadanland with fairness, courage, and compassion,” the group stated.
