- Passes vote of confidence in former Abia governor

Constituents of the lawmakers representing Abia North Senatorial District, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, have expressed delight over the award of a two-kilometre Umuakpaeme Item road.
Commending Kalu during the community’s mid-term meeting, President-General, Umuakpaeme Item Autonomous Community, Shedrack Okpa Ogbonnaya, thanked Senator Kalu for awarding the project, saying it was a good development for the community.
“And we appreciate it and we pray the good Lord Almighty to continue to bless him. As he remembered Umuakpaeme Item, God will also remember him.
“We also thank those that are behind him, working with him, to continue their good work,” Ogbonnaya said.
The President-General further assured that subsequently, as the project progressed, they will give updates to Senator Kalu till the completion of the project.

“So, we are very happy and we are very grateful for his work. As his eyes are focused on Umuakpaeme Item community, we say thank you and let God bless him. Amen,” he prayed.
Port Harcourt-based Nollywood Actor, Chinedu Iheanacho, also commended Kalu during the meeting, saying he came all the way from Rivers State to participate in the meeting.
Iheanacho said the road awarded to Umuakpaeme Item Autonomous Community by Senator Kalu was a welcome development.
Another constituent, Ajah Ukaegbu, hailed Senator Kalu, said the community was happy over the award of the road and hoped for the d-day.
Ajah assured Kalu that the community is solidly standing by him at all times.
Two other constituents, Chief Chima Ikwegbu and Chief Ajah Chukwu, prayed for Kalu and asked God to bless him and protect him and that the people of Umuakpaeme Item will stand behind him in the forthcoming elections.
