Commonwealth Games: Ezechukwu named to Nigeria’s flag bearer

Team Nigeria has named 17-year-old sprinter Miracle Ezechukwu as its flag bearer for the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The young athletics sensation will have the honour of leading the Nigerian contingent into the stadium during the opening parade, becoming one of the youngest athletes to carry the nation’s flag at a major multi-sport event.

Ezechukwu’s selection is seen as recognition of his rising profile in Nigerian athletics as he prepares to represent the country on the Commonwealth Games stage.
